Open the floor to your inner child. What do you want to tell me?
What should I be doing? Eg What do you like to do?
What would like to do when you grow up?
Where would you like to live?
Any other questions which you are drawn to ask.
An interview with my inner child
So you know how magazines have guest editors and writers, well I want to know what happens what I do the same but with me, ! my inner child and, let her control the show. What would she choose to do, how would she spend her day. Maybe that's scary
It feels exciting, fun and I smile when I think of it.
So I gave her the floor
IC: I know all this stuff, I don't need affirmations, I need art, song ,, books, drawing. I look at something and know I can make it. I am quietly confident sometimes I am fearful but am safe in my room. My pictures, music, tapes, pets,c rafts, Bliss!
Oh so as a Guest Editor (!?)what do I want to say First of all GET OUT OF THE WAY, I can do this. I love to do puzzles and help people I love to solve puzzles. I am good at working on my own, drawing people at the club but I love spending time with people ( mainly adults). I see things in shops and think I can make it, in fact its difficult to buy something because I see things and think I can make that.
The piano is my love, I play the piano when there is arguing, sometimes it comes out in the keys. I am rarely practice the piano, it is about playing only, expressing I guess is what you would call it. Isn't it strange that something as powerful as a musical instrument is taught- the right way to play- the power comes from being able to express. Another way of expressing emotions and yet we teach people to play in order to sound nice!?!
I love to build things- repetitive, trying to make and get things, solve it. I draw everything. I write poetry ad believe I can write a poem on anything! I actually love to show off, but I am too quiet and not confident enough to do it.
I listen in class, I get a feeling in the put of my stomach before I answer, it is as if I have no choice, even if I have not been picked I know I will reply
What should I be doing? ( silence)
Wrong question?! IC: yes
What do you do? How do you spend your time? How do you like to play? What are you doing? IC: Close What do you like to do? IC: Closer!
IC: Draw, do puzzles, sing play the piano, read books, play with friends, read onto tape,
Oh what would you like to be when you grow up!
IC: Be an artist, teach, be a Blue Peter presenter, help people
What would you like to do most?
IC: Not sure, all of them!
Where would you like to live? IC: In a village, with friends, in a cottage, rabbits, fish, family
Just a side note if you are thinking how can we access all this. What! IC: Where do you think the child in us goes when we grow up. Nowhere! It stays here and just gets covered up by the adult bit!
